iDEAL

The preferred payment method in the Netherlands

iDEAL allows you to pay directly from your Dutch bank account. Simply select iDEAL at checkout, choose your bank, and complete the payment through your familiar online banking environment.

Supported banks: ABN AMRO, ASN Bank, Bunq, ING, Knab, Rabobank, RegioBank, SNS, Triodos Bank, and Van Lanschot

SEPA Bank Transfer

For larger orders or customers who prefer traditional bank transfers, we accept SEPA transfers.

Note: Orders paid by bank transfer will be processed after payment confirmation, which may take 1-3 business days.

3D Secure Authentication

  • Complies with Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) requirements under EU regulations

The 3D Secure process is seamlessly integrated into our checkout flow through Stripe’s secure API gateway.

3. Payment Process

Our checkout process is designed to be simple, transparent, and secure:

  1. Shopping Cart Review: Verify your items, quantities, and total amount
  2. Shipping Information: Enter or select your delivery address and preferred shipping method
  3. Payment Method Selection: Choose your preferred payment method from the available options
  4. Secure Payment: Complete the payment through our secure payment gateway
    • For iDEAL: You’ll be redirected to your bank’s secure environment
    • For credit cards: Enter your card details in the secure form and complete 3D Secure verification if required
    • For PayPal/Apple Pay/Google Pay: Follow the prompts in their respective interfaces
  5. Confirmation: Receive an immediate order confirmation on screen and via email

The entire checkout process typically takes less than 2 minutes to complete.

4. Currency and Pricing

All prices on our website are displayed in Euros (€) and include VAT for EU customers. For customers outside the EU, VAT may be removed during checkout based on your shipping address.

Currency Conversion: If you’re paying with a card issued in a currency other than Euro, your card issuer will handle the currency conversion. The exchange rate and any conversion fees are determined by your card issuer.

5. Payment Verification

For your security, we may perform additional verification steps for certain transactions:

  • 3D Secure Authentication: Required for credit card transactions to comply with EU regulations
  • Address Verification System (AVS): Checks that the billing address matches the one on file with your card issuer
  • Card Verification Value (CVV): The 3 or 4-digit security code on your card is required but never stored

6. Subscription Payments

For our coffee subscription services, we offer secure recurring billing:

  • Initial payment follows the same secure process as standard orders
  • Subsequent payments are automatically processed on the scheduled date
  • You’ll receive an email notification before each recurring payment
  • You can cancel or modify your subscription at any time through your account
  • Payment method updates can be made securely in your account settings

7. Invoicing

After your purchase is complete:

  • A digital invoice is automatically generated and included in your order confirmation email
  • All invoices are also available in your account under “Order History”
  • For business customers, we can include your VAT number on the invoice (enter during checkout)
  • If you need a specific invoice format, please contact our customer service

8. Payment Issues

If you encounter any issues during the payment process:

  • Payment Declined: This usually happens due to insufficient funds, temporary holds, or security measures by your bank. Try another payment method or contact your bank for assistance.
  • 3D Secure Failure: Ensure your mobile number is up to date with your bank, as verification codes are often sent via SMS.
  • Checkout Errors: Clear your browser cache or try a different browser. Our system is optimized for the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
  • Order Placed But No Confirmation: Check your email spam folder. If you still don’t see a confirmation, contact our customer service with your order details.

  • Refunds are processed through the same payment method used for the original purchase
  • Processing time is typically 1-2 business days on our end
  • The funds may take an additional 3-10 business days to appear in your account, depending on your payment provider
  • You’ll receive an email notification when your refund has been processed
